Question:

I have a 2917 Jeep Wrangler with an after market bumper with welded d-ring hooks. Can this road master tow bar be hooked to the bumper directly

The Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain Tow Bar # RM-676 (excellent choice) will hook up to the D-ring hooks on your Jeep's aftermarket bumper as long as you use the appropriate adapter.

If your D-rings are 1 inch thick you will need part # RM-035-1 and if they are 3/4 inch thick you will need # RM-035. These will attach to the D-ring mounts to provide a connection point for the tow bar. I do also recommend verifying that your particular aftermarket bumper is rated for towing.

What about a 2012 Jeep with a call of duty or premium off-road bumper? The D rings are .5 thick.Wondering what I need to pair it with the night hawk.

There aren't any D-Ring bumper mounts available for 1/2" D-Rings, so your only option would be a full base plate kit like the Roadmaster # 1439-3, which is designed for the Call of Duty - MW3 Edition bumper. With D-Rings this size it's also likely that the bumper isn't rated for flat towing.
