What is the outside diameter of this hub shaft portion? Will my wheels with a 2.8inch pilot bore be able to clear it? Thanks

The outer diameter of the hub bore (shaft) portion of the Dexter Trailer Idler Hub Assembly part # 8-258-5UC1-EZ is 1.986" outer diameter so your wheels will have no issues clearing it.

The hub flange diameter is 6-1/2" which allows you to use 13" to 15" wheels on the hub.
