Can Andersen Ultimate Connection 5th Wheel Hitch Be Reversed

Question:

Ive been using your hitch for the past 2 years and love it. I have the ultimate in aluminum. I pull with a 17 ram 3500 8 ft bed srw. I have it in the longest configuration. Ball yo the he rear and adapter to the rear. Im vertually 8inch behind the axle. Its no issue except in tight campgrounds as the trucks turning radius isnt great. My thought was to mount the hitch backwards moving the trailer forward to gain more maneuverability. Is there any issues with the hitch pulling from the other side? My trailer weighs 14k. Yes, the Andersen Ultimate 5th Wheel Hitches like our rail-mount # AM3200 can be mounted in either direction so that the offset ball is more towards the tailgate or towards the cab. If this better suits your application when trying to maneuver the trailer around tight campground turns then reversing it so the ball is closer to the cab on your Ram will work without issue.
