I have the patriot 16 k hitch. Will the 16 k head fit on the 18 k slider base?

Yes, the Head Assembly for B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches part # BWRVC3200 is the same for both 16,000 lb and 18,000 lb models so you can use this with the Slider Base for B&W Patriot Slider 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # BWRVB3270. The weight rating would then be 18,000 lbs because this is dictated by the base, not the head.
