Question:
The front left motor on the jack has burned out so I know I need to replace it. However, now that I am manually jacking it, it turns substantially harder than the other side with the functional jack. Does this mean the gearbox is probably bad and the additional resistance was the cause for the burn out of the motor, or does a burned out motor cause the gearbox to turn harder in manual mode?

I reached out to Lippert and they confirmed my thoughts that the gearbox is most like bad since you are having trouble with the manual jack. That surely could have caused the motor to burn out. For a replacement, I recommend the Lippert Components Venture 5th Wheel RV Landing Gear Motor # LC142178 along with the Replacement Aluminum Gearbox for Stromberg Carlson Landing Gear # LG-179015.
