Output Shorted Troubleshooting Prodigy P3 Brake Controller

I get a output shorted warning . What to do?

Expert Reply:
The cause of the P3 Brake Controller Flashing Output Shorted No Brakes is a short in the brake output circuit somewhere between the brake controller and the trailer brake assemblies, or a shorted or damaged brake magnet.
This is almost always to to cut or exposed wiring on the trailer. You'd want to go over the wiring of the trailer on this circuit looking for any obvious shorts and fixing as needed.
