Tire Pressure for Goodyear Endurance Trailer Tires

Updated 03/30/2020 | Published 06/13/2019

Question:

We have a 2018 airstream. It came with endurance tires by Goodyear. Airstream suggest inflating the tire to 80 psi with I feel is bouncy for the contents of the trailer. Goodyear’s chart for this tire and weight of the triller to be about 42 psi. I have settle on 55 psi to be in the middle. Where should my tires be at? The chart says between 40-45 psi for the weight 8000/4 tires. Usually 7200 pounds on the tires when hitched and about 8-900 on the truck.

The great thing about the Goodyear Endurance trailer tires such as the ST225/75R15 # 724857519 is that their capacity changes with the amount of inflation so even though I'm not sure what size Endurance tires you have since you didn't specify, you can use the accompanying chart to determine what you need. The most important thing is that once inflated, your tires will exceed the capacity of your Airstream's GVWR. So if your GVWR was 8,000 lbs and you have four of the aforementioned ST225/75R15 # 724857519 on your trailer you could inflate them to between 45 and 50 psi and be perfect.

Air pressure for my Goodyear endurance ST235/80RI6. I cannot read the fine print on the tire. It is in an airstream nest.

Your Goodyear Endurance ST235/80R16 tires have a maximum 80 psi. The Endurance line can be adjusted based on load. Check out the linked Q&A below that posts the chart for this.
