Question:
For your drum/hub assemblies, -Item 84546UC3-EZ -Item 84546UC3 -Item AKHD-545-35-G-EZ-K Who is the bearing and race manufacturer? Timken? And are all these compatible for a 84 spindle? Who manufactures the drum and are they a US company? And what is the grease seal full part number and manufacturer name? What is the difference between these 3 item numbers other than the 3rd is galvanized? Looks like some additional parts come with the EZ model but whats specified is not clear other than what shows in the pictures. Is the price for single drum hub or the pair? Thank you. Ed

Hey Ed,
The Easy Grease Trailer Hub/Drum Assembly # AKHD-545-35-G-EZ-K uses grease seal # 58846 and are made by AxleTek, who is not in the U.S. The Dexter Trailer Hub & Drum Assembly # 84546UC3-EZ and # 84546UC3 uses the same grease seal part number, though the hub/drums and bearings/seals are from Dexter, which is a U.S. company.
The difference is the # 84546UC3-EZ is both pre-greased, comes with the washers and cotter pin, as well as a standard grease cap and EZ-Lube grease cap if you have EZ-Lube spindles. They are each compatible with a #84 spindle and the price is for a single hub/drum.
