Will this Curt #c45459 2 1/2inch ball mount slid into the 2 1/2inch receiver on my 2018 Ford F-350 OK they claim some mount dont fit well? Thanks

Yes, the Curt Ball Mount for 2-1/2" Hitches part # C45459 will fit the 2-1/2" receiver tube on your 2018 Ford F-350. As you mentioned, the Ford receiver tube tolerances can be off but the Curt ball mounts usually fit pretty well. The issues I am used to seeing are with the Draw-Tite and Reese ball mounts usually.

In regards to the Curt Ball Mount for 2-1/2" Hitches part #C45459, the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball hole is 9".
