Question:
In Mike Ls response to a question, he said The blue and orange wires attached to the one connector feed the brake controller output and the 12-volt accessory feed, respectively. The orange wire connects to the terminal for the 12-volt accessory feed which is at the 1:00 position as you are looking at the front of the 7-way. The blue wire connects to the terminal in the 5:00 position. My question is, what do I do with the black wire on the original connector? Thanks

It depends on what function the black wire carries. If you use a circuit tester like part # PTW2992 you can determine what function it carries and then use the attached photo to locate which pin it installs to for the Hopkins Endurance Multi-Tow 7-, 5- and 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector # HM48470.
