Can Standard 5th Wheel Slider Hitch Connect to Pin Box with PullRite Capture Plate Installed?

Question:

I have a trailer with a slider capture plate installed for a 3300 superglide hitch. Can someone with a standard 5th wheel hitch hook up to this? Thanks for any help you can give.

The capture plate you have on your pin box for your 3300 PullRite SuperGlide 5th Wheel hitch will not allow a standard 5th wheel hitch proper operation. They may be able to connect but the capture plate is designed to also be a wedge for isolated turning so the PullRite hitch can utilize the hitch head turning for the automatic slide like the Demco Hijacker Autoslide # DM8550035.

Connection to the capture plate with a standard hitch would definitely damage either the pin box or the hitch if not removed upon the first turn. The capture plate is easy to remove, so if you will be trading out hitches that isn't a deal breaker. In some ways the capture plate may be a theft deterrent, but I wouldn't use that as the only security if that is a part of the question.
