As long as the 5,000 pound capacity for the Curt Single Hook Safety Cables # C80151 meets or exceeds your trailer's weight then they will indeed meet any local requirements with regards to safety chains or cables when towing. These cables have a nice coiled design that will help keep them off the ground and the nylon coating prevents any scratching and will protect the interior from rust or corrosion.
