Question:
I installed a electric trailer jack on my trailer and for whatever reason the trailer plug coming out of my truck is not reading any voltage at the top right prongue that the electric jacks required for a 12 v feed I don’t understand why there wouldn’t be 12 v constant at that source ... I hooked the jack up and attached to to my fathers tow plug and everything works fine ... where could my issue be on the truck side

The most likely cause of the 12 volt power circuit on your 7-way not being active is due to an unconnected wire on your power distribution center (PDC). This is rather common for these vehicles so that is what I would check first. If you take a look at the attached photo you will see where the wire should be located.
If the wire is already connected then odds are you have a short in this wire which would mean your best option is to just run a new one with part # 10-1-1 (per foot), part # 185917, part # DW05705-1, and part # 224775.
