Question:

Did not install fuse when I originally installed hitch and harness...now it’s missing I lost it what size/type do I ask for at the auto parts store?

Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56291 includes both a red 10-amp mini blade fuse for the red fuse holder on the harness and a pink 30-amp box fuse for the fuse box in the engine compartment. Both fuses are shown in the linked photo. You'll have no trouble finding these at your local auto parts store.

For your 2024 Hyunda Santa Cruz we have the Curt 7-way kit part #C68JR that is a confirmed fit. This installs by plugging into a factory wiring connector on your vehicle which means a really easy install that doesn't require any splicing.

Yes there will be a fuse that protects the 12 volt trailer accessory circuit of your 7-way wiring. If this is factory wiring of a truck you'll want to check out the fuse box diagram or the owners manual.
