Adding a simple friction sway control bar is a great idea for when you are traveling down the highway; it will make towing your trailer in crosswinds less of a white-knuckle situation.
Since you mentioned a 27 foot trailer it is recommended that you use two of the Friction Sway Control Kit # 83660 for optimum stability; a pair of these kits is going to give you the best amount of sway control. Using just one kit on a 27 foot trailer like your Coleman won't be quite enough.
To use two of the kits you are going to need the Reese Sway-Control Bracket for 2" Ball Mounts # RP26003 and add the weld-on Sway Control Tab # 3442. This will give you an easy-to-use and highly effective sway control option for your Ram 3500 without using a full weight distribution with sway control system.
I have added links to video reviews of the sway control kit and bracket for you to check out.
