How To Install a Pro Series 15K 5th Wheel Hitch On a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD

Question:
I just picked up a used Pro Series 15k 5th wheel plate however did not come with the rails or mounting hardware. I have a 2007 Chev Duramax 2500hd classic shortbox. Can you tell me what kit I need to get this mounted correctly and do I have to remove my plastic Berliner when installing the rails or can I go over the top of it. Thanks

The correct install kit for the Pro Series 15k 5th Wheel Hitch on your 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD is the Reese Quick-Install Custom Installation Kit w/ Base Rails part # RP50064-58. This kit is a custom fit which means there is no drilling required. There is a more cost effective solution for you, the Reese Universal Base Rails and Installation Kit for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches part # RP30035 but keep in mind you will need to drill into your frame for this.
I have attached an install video for you on the custom kit as well as one that explains how you will need to trim the bedliner for the base rails. It however does not need to be removed.
