We have the Furion AC units on our 2025 Reflection 337. What is the best soft start to install for our units?

Hi Mark,

If you have a Furrion Chill Cube 18K air conditioner like the part # FR27TD, that unit comes with a built-in soft start to keep current spikes low when the compressor kicks on, so you won't need to install one.

If you have a Furrion Chill HE 15K or 13.5K air conditioner like the part # FR86PR, it doesn't have a soft start built-in but does have a start capacitor. To add a soft start to a Furrion Chill HE unit, the Active Controls Soft Start for RV ACs part # AS64FR will work to help reduce the start-up power required to turn the AC on and keep the compressor quieter. It also offers Bluetooth monitoring with it's own app so you will get alerts and performance data in real time.

I don’t know the specific AC as I write this email, but we don’t have a soft start, so the information you provided is very helpful for me to order the right part from you. As always, the ETrailer staff is awesome!!!

@MarkD There should be a sticker with a serial number on it under the shroud that you can look up to figure out the model or if you call your manufacturer with your VIN they can tell you exactly what was installed on your camper. @MarkD Based off that model number it looks like you have a Furrion Chill HE 15K, so you can use the Active Controls Soft Start for RV ACs part # AS64FR to add a soft start to it!
