Question:
Hi I have a 2013 Cayenne Diesel without the tow package, I installed one myself and a 4 pin connector spliced into the rear lights and battery. Is it possible to get a 7 pin on this car, should I decide to get a larger trailer?

To add a 7-way to your 2013 Porsche Cayenne that will allow you to pull a larger trailer and use a brake controller I recommend the 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit # ETBC7L. This is very similar to the Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7 with the difference being that you will not have to wire the lead from the brake controller to the brake output pin on the 7-way.
This will make installation easier but keep in mind there are only certain brake controllers that the 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit # ETBC7L will work with because it pulls power from the trailer connector as opposed to wiring directly into your Porsche.
For a brake controller that is compatible I highly recommend the Curt Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller # C51180 because it is the easiest controller to use, working with a smartphone, and does not require any type of pairing or installation.
I have added links to video reviews of both the # ETBC7L and Echo for you to take a look at.
