Can Just the Camera of the Furrion Vision S Side Camera w/ Light Bracket # FCE48TAS Be Installed

Question:

If I purchased these I would want to place them further forward in my fifth wheel than where my current side marker lights are. Also on that space it is to narrow for camera and side marker light due to trim and hatch doors. Can I mount just the camera and leave the light off as they have there own power wire? Is there a cover for the prongs that the light snaps into so rain won’t cause some kind of short in the electric supply- in other words is it made to run without the light attached without any problems ?

You can pretty easily separate the camera from the taillight on the Furrion Vision S Side Camera w/ Marker Light Bracket # FCE48TASL that you referenced. I attached a picture of what that looks like. There isn't a cover though for this situation.

I am purchasing a 2020 grand design momentum 398M It's supposed to be plug and play with the furrion camera It seems I only see the side cameras, observation, sold with the running light. I don't understand they're telling me they just plug in to the existing sidelight

The Grand Design should have a pre-wired bracket at the rear of the trailer - into to which the main rear camera, like what's included with the 7" # FOS07TASF, will attach (plug and play). I'm not sure if it's a plug-and-play setup for side marker camera lights, though - like what are included in the full kit # FCE48TASL-07. I might talk to the dealer a little bit more to find out exactly how everything is wired. Unfortunately this kind of information isn't readily available.
