Can Weight Distribution Be Used with Firestone Air Bag Suspension Enhancement
Published 03/05/2019 >
Question:
I have a 2009 F150 FX4 and I am installing the airbag system in a week, I have a weight distribution hitch installed now I want to be able to use both to haul my travel trailer at 9200lbs GVWR what information would you recommend me to knowing so the systems and work together at optimal results. Would these systems be able to work together? What process is the best for the hookup, airbag first then weight distribution second? Please assist in providing information on these systems together, I have researched them separately however I can not find any information on them together on one truck. Thanks

You can use air bag suspension enhancement with weight distribution but the key is to inflate the bags to the desired PSI and then set the weight distribution system up. You'll end up using less spring bar tension than you currently have so you'll want to go back through the setup process of your WD system after installing and inflating the bags.
