Question:
Will the Even Braking system work with out the break a-way switch hooked up. in other words with just the motor home monitor and the 9420-ICX transmitter and no Break away switch? thanks

Expert Reply:
To install the Roadmaster Even Brake Portable Supplemental Braking System # RM-9400 you do need to use the break away switch.
The break away harness will be connected to the ICX transmitter so the two are going to need to be used in conjunction with one another. The break away switch is also going to apply the brakes of your towed vehicle if for some reason the connection is lost with your motorhome which is a significant safety factor.
