Question:
2 inch brake flange for 3500 lb spindle
asked by: Brian
Expert Reply:
Capacity is what will have the capacity as opposed to the spindle, and the correct brake mounting flange will depend on the diameter of your axle.
Since you mentioned a 3,500 lbs I assume that is your axle's capacity and typically those have 2-3/8" diameters. For that there is the Brake Mounting Flange for 2-3/8" Round Axle # 4-35. We don't have any flanges for 2" axles, but the other possibility is the Brake Mounting Flange for 1-3/4" Round Trailer Axles # 4-34 which is the typical diameter you see on 2,000 lb axles.
I have added a link to our page with each of our brake mounting flanges for you to take a look at; you will want to verify the diameter of your axle to determine the correct flange.
