Question:
I am looking at using one of you tailgate light bars on my travel trailer to add reverse and safety lighting. Would using the 7 pin for normal trailer lights and brakes as well as the 4 pin for the tailgate light create an issue for me?

The Putco Red Blade LED Tailgate Combination Light Bar part # P92010-60 which is the lightbar I recommend for your trailer has LED lights so the amp draw will be very minimal. The reason that this is important is because the total amp draw for each circuit on both the trailer and light bar cannot exceed that of the vehicle's trailer lighting circuits. I do not believe you will have any issues because the light bar has LED lights which draw much less power when compared to incandescent.
In order for the 4-way on this light bar to reach your vehicle you will need to extend the wires with part # 16-4B-1 (per foot). The 4-way on your vehicle will allow for all of the lights on this light bar to funcion save for the reverse lights so in order to make these works you will also need to use the Curt Trailer Connector Adapter part # C57187. The vehicle side 5-way wire will go to the vehicles reverse light circuit on the back of the 7-way and the trailer side 5-way wire will go to the reverse wire on the light bar.
