The Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains with Cams - Ladder Pattern - Twist Links - 1 Pair # TC2221CAM if being used on the correct tire sizes should not have loose ends. The cam tighteners should remove any slack that would be an issue. Your option is to trim the cross chain links to shorten and then use the Titan Chain Cross Chain Repair Link - 0.25" Thick - Qty 1 # TC250CCRL to replace the removed link(s) and hold the chain together. You likely will need the Titan Chain Repair Pliers for Light Truck Snow Tire Chains - 17-3/4" Long # TCRP2 for that application.
These chains are confirmed to properly fit the following tire sizes:
225/85-16
235/80-17
235/85-16
245/75-15
245/75-16
255/70-16
265/70-15
265/75-15
7.5x16
9.5x16.5
If you let me know your tire size and vehicle, I'd be happy to help with correct fit chains.
