We are looking for an adaptor to the puck system to use with the 15 k reese hitch. Ford, and Dodge makes them but not chevy. We dont want the gooseneck adaptor. We are trying to avoid buy a whole new hitch.

We have just what you need. The Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter for Chevy/GMC OEM 5th Wheel Towing Prep Package - 6-1/2' Bed - 21K # DM6194. This is the only adapter currently available for the Chevy puck system to utilize a hitch like your Reese 15K that uses the standard above bed rails. This system does use the gooseneck you mentioned not wanting, and yet it also utilizes the 4 other pucks as well. It will be a very sturdy adapter to ensure your 5th wheel hitch is completely functional.

For just the 4 puck adapter without the gooseneck, we have the Adapter Rails for Curt 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Slider - Chevy/GMC Towing Prep Package # C16023 which has holes that are 22 inches front to back on center and 20-3/4 inches side to side on center. However the slots are a little wider than industry standard rails, so your Reese hitch which has the industry standard base of 22x20-1/2 on center will technically work with this adapter but you will have slightly more side to side movement with that extra 1/8 inch on each side. This is definitely not a best case scenario. Curt uses the L-shaped bracing to firm that up with their slider base so they can use that wider slot without the slop.

To get an adapter that won't have the extra movement, I recommend the Demco # DM6194 for your Reese 20K hitch. It will be a much nicer fit. If your 15K hitch isn't a slider, or if you aren't using a Sidewinder style rotating pin box, I recommend upgrading your hitch or king pin for the turning clearance you need for a short bed truck. I've attached some articles to help you determine your best option.
