Question:

I currently have a Tracrac sliding ladder rack on my 2003 F-150. 6.5foot bed. It was installed by a Tracrac dealer when truck was new. Can I reuse this entire system on a 2018 F-150, Model# X1C ?? Either way, reuse or new, please advise of specific details on attaching base rails to truck bed. Thanks.

Yes, the Thule TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack part # TH43002XT-501 will fit both a 2003 Ford F-150 (excluding stepside) and a 2018 Ford F-150 (excluding cargo management system) with the 6-1/2' bed. I have attached an install video for you as well as a photo which shows exactly how to attach the base rails to the bed sides. Due to the age of the system you have now, I recommend replacing the hardware with part # TAHD-21501 and the rubber blocks with part # TARB-11032-1 (4).
