Question:

2018 GMC 3500HD Crew Cab Provided instructions are a bit light. 3 cables were included. Instructions show usage of two of them. One attaches to the display and the other routes from the camera. What is the purpose of the third cable. It appears that it can be attached between the other two cables but what do I do with the attached black/red leads?

The third cable you mentioned for the Truck Bed Cargo Camera # 3460010 will indeed plug in between the camera and module cables also included with the kit. The red and black leads are for the camera's power and ground. The module also includes extended leads for power and ground.

I have labeled the picture you attached accordingly.

The ground leads (black) from the module and camera need to be attached to a bare metal surface using ring terminals like # DW05705-1 and a screw.

The power leads (red) for both the module and camera can be attached to the fuse panel behind the glove box to an accessory power source. When we installed the system on the 2018 Sierra 3500 we used the thicker violet/purple wire from the large connector coming off the fuse box.
