Question:

I have a aftermarket tailgate camera that is hooked to a 4inch factory display via the control module behind the glove box. I would like to add a tail light camera. Could I Y the video and apply power to the red and hook the ground to a SPDT relay. Tailgate camera being on 87 and tail light camera being on 87A. reverse wire on 30. Apply power on one side of the relay and ground the other side with s switch in line. Is this possible? What camera would I need? Is there a better option? thanks!

For the 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, the Custom Third Brake Light Camera for 8" Factory Monitor - Night Vision # 3460010 is intended to work with the factory tailgate camera. It sounds like you already spliced into the factory system for your aftermarket tailgate camera. If you want to splice this in for a different configuration, you can still use the switch to toggle between cameras and tap into your reverse light or running light circuit for power.
