Air Spring Recommendation for 2014 Jeep JK Unlimited Rubicon with 3 inch Fox lift MOPAR Installed

Updated 12/03/2018 | Published 12/01/2018

Question:

We had the dealer install the 3-inch Fox suspension lift on our 2014 Wrangler Unlimited 4-door Rubicon. This is the suspension kit they sell at the dealer recommended by MOPAR, so it doesnt affect our manufacturer warranty. This suspension sags a bit with a trailer, so headlights are an issue. We also do a lot of Jeeping 4-wheeling. Nothing extreme, but some pretty good challenges and some articulation. The airbag appears to be the best solution as they can be deflated during articulation and inflated during trailering. The Firestone brand notes Installation Notes: Product fits all models except Rubicon. So, just want to make sure this fits.

Firestone Air Springs do state they don't fit the Rubicon model, so I recommend the Air Lift AirLift 1000 Air Helper Springs for Coil Springs - Rear # AL60817 to load level for trailering if you had the standard height. These air springs can be deflated to 5 psi for Jeeping and then inflated up to 35 psi for trailering as desired.

I reached out to my contact at AirLift about the lift and he said for the 3 inch lift you would use the Air Lift AirLift 1000 Air Helper Springs for Coil Springs - Rear # AL60799 which will give you a 10 inch tall bag that is 4.35 inches diameter. He recommended measuring your coils to make sure this will fit as they don't have the measurements for your aftermarket springs but this is the same diameter and 3 inches taller than the # AL60817 springs.

If you have different measurements let me know and I'll be happy to assist.
