Can Curt TruTrack Bars be Upgraded for Heavier Tongue Weight

Question:
I have the Curt 17500, rated at 10,000/1,000. If I get a new heavier trailer ex. 12,000/1,200, should I just upgrade the trunnion bars, or do I need to part ways with the 17500 and move up to the 17501?

I spoke with a representative of Curt who told me that if you needed a weight distribution system with more capacity than the # C17500 you would have to part ways with it and replace the whole system with the TruTrack # C17501, which has a total tongue weight capacity of between 1,000 lbs and 1,500 lbs.
Replacement trunnion bars alone would not upgrade the capacity of your TruTrack.
