Question:
Im a sales consultant for an Audi Dealer in Roanoke, VA. I have a client that needs to know what the tongue weight is for a factory installed tow hitch for the 2018 Q5. Can you help? Thank you very much,

According to the owner's manual for a 2018 Audi Q5, the maximum tongue weight capacity for the vehicle is 440 lbs. The factory trailer hitch is more than likely rated higher than this but that is a rather moot point as the vehicle is lower and will be your limiting factor. I do not have any information on the factory trailer hitch for a Q5 but there should be a sticker on the unit which lists both the gross trailer weight (GTW) rating and the tongue weight (TW) rating. If you were able to obtain a part number I am sure your local Audi parts department would be able to obtain these figures for you as well.
For reference, the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 76183 which is a fit for a 2018 Audi Q5 has a maximum tongue weight capacity of 750 lbs.
