Can a holding tank heating pad be trimmed to fit

Holding tank heating pads such as Thermaheat 18 x 12-inch # 277-000164 and 25 x 7-inch # 277-000163 should not be trimmed or cut. When you install one of these on your plastic holding tanks you'll want to be sure to first clean the surface with 91% isopropyl alcohol (available at any pharmacy) to remove any residue that could interfere with the pressure-sensitive adhesive that will hold the pad in place.
