Tire Inside Clearance from Side of Trailer for Torsion Axles

Question:
What is adequate clearance between the side of the trailer and the inside of the tire when using torsion axles.

Helpful Expert Reply:
You will want 6 inches between the hub face where the tire mounts and the frame. That will most of the time give you about 2 inches between the tire inside sidewall and the frame. That allow for the suspension movement and to still remain inside the fender like # HP36VR.
