For your 2016 Porsche Macan S with factory tow hitch and wiring, the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller # C51180 is a confirmed fit. There is no other wiring required for your Porsche. You will simply download the app to your phone or other bluetooth pairing device and then install the brake controller and pair the controller with your device.
The pairing locks out other devices and yet still allows you to use other programs like phone and maps. The Echo has the accelerometer, and receives both power and signal from your 7-way trailer connection. The lid hinge on your 7-way will hook to the controller's integrated tab to keep the controller firmly connected to your wiring.
This is probably the easiest brake controller to install and use to give you trailer braking functions on single or tandem axle trailers.
