Installing LED Tail Lights and Grommets in Trailer Mounting Hole
Published 11/06/2018 >
Question:
I am replacing the tail lights in my trailer that had 6 1/2 oval incandescent lights. I purchased new led lights and grommets from E-trailer. My question is should I install the grommets in the hole first and attempt to push the lights into the grommet, or should I put the grommet on the light and attempt to push the assembly into the existing hole? Thanks for your help. Great products, by the way.

When installing your new lights, you will first install the grommet # A70GB into the hole and then install the light into the grommet. This will ensure the grommet is properly seated in the hole and the light will be a snug fit. I've attached a video installation to further assist.
