Compatibility of Weight Distribution Shank for 2-1/2 Inch Receiver on Ram 2500
Published 11/01/2018 >
Question:
Went from F-150 to Ram 2500. So I need a new shank. Looked at the shank on your website and want to know if it tapers down to 2inch on the shank end. It appears that way but is not mentioned in any dimension drawing. I have an equalizer E-2 hitch.

The Equal-i-zer Weight Dist Shank - 2-1/2" Hitch - 10" Rise/6" Drop - 600 to 1,600 lbs TW # EQ90-02-4900 is a great option for a hitch with a 2-1/2 inch receiver and it will step down to fit the e2 system you have perfectly. This shank is designed for a maximum drop of 6 inches from the inside top of the hitch receiver to the hitch ball location.
I've attached a photo of dimensions to help further. I have also linked the page to other options compatible with your truck. The 1-1/4 inch on center holes are standard so as long as the shank has the flat front it will work well with your e2 even if it is made by a different manufacturer.
