Chirping Noise from Touch Pad on Lippert Ground Control 3.0

Question:
my control pad stopped working. i checked for power to the touch pad and had it. i ordered a new control pad from you and still it didnt work, so i ordered the main unit thinking it was bad. after hooking it up still nothing and i tried both control pads since i havent sent the one back yet. when i plug in the control pad it chirps a few lights come on for a split second then go out right away then nothing. any ideas?

It sounds like you have checked for power from the controller to the touch pad and then from the touchpad onward but have you checked how much power the controller is receiving? In order to do this you would first need to remove the trailer from shore power and then turn on a fan to clear the surface charge. Once the surface charge is cleared you would then need to check to see how much power the controller is receiving from the house battery. It should be at least 12 volts. If it dips down below 12 volts then the house battery is bad which is causing all of your issues. If the controller is receiving 12+ volts then you may want to reset the touchpad with the reset button located on the face of the unit.
