Hello Johnny,

The Lippert Ground Control 3.0 # LC675817 uses mostly sealed landing gear components, so there is not really a way to fully grease the internal gears like you could on some older manual landing gear systems.

What you can do is keep the outer jack legs clean and occasionally spray a dry silicone lubricant on the inner tubes to help them extend and retract smoothly. I would avoid using heavy grease on the exposed portions of the legs because it tends to collect dirt and road grime over time.

It’s also a good idea to periodically inspect the gearbox and motor areas near the top of the legs for any signs of moisture, rust, or loose hardware. If the system starts making popping noises, binding, or moving unevenly, that is usually more of an indication of wear or alignment issues rather than lack of lubrication.

One thing that can really help extend the life of the system is using leveling blocks or jack pads under the feet when possible so the legs do not have to extend as far. That helps reduce strain on the motors and internal components over time.

Are your landing gear starting to make noise or move slower than normal, or are you just trying to stay ahead on preventative maintenance?

Just trying to stay ahead of the game. I had an older fifth wheel landing gear seize up while on vacation. I carry a bottle jack and was able to jack one side while moving the other side to get it back on the truck. Took about an hour Just something I want to avoid in the future. Thanks for the response
