Easy to Install Fifth Wheel Rail Kit and Slider Hitch Recommendation for 2013 Ford F-150 Short Bed
Question:
Hello, thank you for your last reply, it was quite helpful. Ive been looking further into 5th wheel hitches, and ive almost decided on one. It is different from the last one i asked about, so here is what i would like to know. 1 Is this the most custom built one for my truck? A 2013 f150 with a 6 and a half ft bed. 2 Is their anything else i will need other than tools for installing it into my truck ? it comes with rails and everything else i would need ? 3 I am not terribly worried about how smooth the ride is, but i am looking for the easiest install available. Did i pick the one most suited for my truck ? Thank you !

You are definitely on the right track for picking a fifth wheel rail kit and hitch. The Reese Slider part # RP30051 will work great in the bed of your 2013 Ford F-150 and even though you said you weren't worried about how smooth the ride is this will give smoother ride quality overall.
The custom install kit you mentioned is a fit and a great option, but if you are looking for the easiest possible install the Reese Outboard Kit part # RP56006-53 would be what you want. The outboard kits put the install brackets on the outside of the frame rails which makes the install much easier and less time consuming.
