Towing Capacity of Honda CR-V

I'm not sure which year your Honda CR-V is but I saw you looked at the trailer hitch receiver that fits the CR-V from 2012 to 2016 so I checked a manual for the 2016 model. It states, on page 353, that the maximum towing capacity is 1,500 pounds or 680 kilograms.
The hitch you looked at is a Class III hitch rated up to 4,500 pounds, part # 75742, but you're still limited by the capacity of the CR-V. The higher rated hitch will not increase the vehicle's capabilities.
If you can tell me the model year your CR-V's capacity may be different. Let me know the year and I'll find out what you can tow and also recommend the best parts to do it.
