What to Do With Edge Programmer that Says Its VIN Locked

Question:

So I’m trying to buy a tuner from a guy and he accidentally left the programmer in the old truck he had so it’s vin locked how do I fix it

Expert Reply:

You'll have to track down the guy you bought it from and have him use the programmer to set his vehicle back to stock. Once he does that, you'll be able to use the programmer. Otherwise, it's not usable. You can call Edge to have them unlock it but you'll have to pay a decent amount of money to do this.

You could also check with a dealer to see if they can reset it.
