Big bikes call for strong gear. The Thule T2 Pro XTR carries up to 4 bikes with a total capacity of 160 lbs, or 60 lbs per bike when used as a 2-bike rack. Built from durable steel with a black powder coat finish, it’s ready for e-bikes, fat tires up to 5.0" wide, and long wheelbases up to 50-1/2". Deep wheel cradles and 18" straps keep everything snug without touching the frame, so carbon and custom paint stay pristine.
You don’t have to unload just to grab what’s in the back. A front-mounted handle lets the rack tilt down even with all bikes loaded, giving full access to your cargo area. When the ride’s over, the rack folds up to 20" from the hitch, taking up less space for parking or storage. The front-release handle design means you can tilt or fold it using both hands for steady control the entire time.
No wrenches needed here. The T2 Pro XTR slides into a 2" hitch receiver and tightens down with a hand knob. Turning the knob engages an anti-rattle wedge inside the shank that removes play and noise, while the integrated SnugTite hitch pin locks it to the hitch. When it’s time to move the rack, the built-in wheels make rolling it to or from the vehicle simple—no heavy lifting required.
The T2 Pro XTR comes ready to lock down your setup. One-Key System locks secure both the rack and your bikes in place. Integrated cables pull out from each arm to loop around the bike frames and slide into matching locks. The locking knob on the hitch spins freely once secured, so the rack can’t be loosened by hand. All locks are keyed alike for quick access with a single key.
Whether it’s a solo ride or a family outing, the T2 Pro XTR adjusts to fit. The front 2-bike section detaches when you only need space for two. Reattaching the add-on expands it back to four bikes without changing the stable platform design. That means one rack handles everything from quick rides to full-crew adventures without extra tools or hardware.

Excellent rack for the entire family. Changing from 2-bikes to 4-bikes requires some unbolting. Not quite a quick modular changeover but definitely not permanent either.
Sturdy. Easy to put together. Second Thule rack and I trust it will secure my bikes.

one problem that i wasn't aware of when i ordered...i will need to get the trim around my hitch receiver cut out wider on my 2024 Subaru Outback for me to be able to use this on my car...the special pin on the side needs to open out wide and my hitch receiver is in line with the bottom trim of my back bumper without room to open the pin out--on our truck the hitch sits below the bumper.
Vast improvement over the old Thule rack. The instructions could have been a little clearer for installing the locks. Better and clearer pictures needed. I’m happy to see lock tight is on the screws. I love the tilt and the built in Wheels that allow me to move the rack without picking it up and carrying it.

Fast delivery and great product! I would recommend that you look up videos on how to assemble. The instructions that come with it are basically useless. With the help of a friend assembly was easy. So far the rack has worked perfectly. It is large and heavy so it could require two people to put in on and take it off of the tow hitch. All in all I am very satisfied!
Excellent customer service and super fast delivery! Bike rack is true to Thule quality and workmanship. The rack is sturdy and the bikes completely secure. Bikes do not touch each other at all. The rack is quite heavy, but not too hard to handle and load.
I use it to carry 2 Fat Tire E-Bikes, First if your bike has a front fender you're in trouble and you'll have to improvise the front wheel hold down. I also had to order new rear wheel hold down straps because the ones it came with are for smaller tires. The biggest problem is when hitting a large bump in the road the rack would drop down to it's 45 degree loading angle and if your bikes are not secure you're going to lose them. Using the 4 bike setup is putting ton of stress on your hitch.
This thing is expensive and it's for good reason. If you want to have a nice four-bike rack for your 2" receiver, you want it to just work, and you never want to have to think about it again, buy this rack. It's a pleasure to use and just works so well. My only complaint about it is that it tips the scales at 99 lbs and probably 4'-6" in two directions. As such, it is a pain in the neck to move around. It has these dinky little dolly wheels and if you have a paved driveway they would probably work great. I don't have any pavement to push it around on so I either need to risk a hernia or get help to move it near the car. I have developed a technique to tip the receiver bar into the square tube on our van so I can install the rack without actually lifting it off the ground.
Great bike rack. The end came dented which made the plastic end cap difficult to place. I used pliers to bend it just enough to get the cap pushed in all the way

I give this 3 stars and most of that is for Thule customer service. After a several uses and a few long trips of 450 miles I would have rated this rack five stars. Then the unthinkable happened! Driving at 70 mph the rack unattached from my truck. Miraculously the $8,000 worth of bikes I was carrying came out basically unscathed. The way this rack attaches to the hitch is suspect at best. There is not a bolt through connection. It attaches by an expander at the end of the rack that slides into the hitch and then a weak pin that slides into the normal bolt hole. This pin is controlled by a very weak spring. Somehow the expander and the pin failed at their job. Thule engineers should revisit this attachment method. I contacted Thule, sent them some requested info and photos. They were very sympathetic and understood my concern and grief. They said this kind of failure was rare and they told me this is not the first time something like this has happened with this rack. They were very apologetic and issued me a full refund for the price of the rack. I would give Thule 5 stars for customer service and the bike rack a zero. I will never by another rack without a bolt through connection.
