Filing rv with a propane tank. How do you do it and what do I need to buy

For your RV propane system to be filled by an external tank I recommend the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay T-Fitting w/ Hose for POL Valve - 1/4" FIF and Disposable Cylinder Port # 103609-MBS. This T-fitting will connect to your RV tank prior to any other connection like a regulator and comes with the hose to utilize connection to an external fill tank. This will allow you to use your propane from the external cylinder so you don't deplete the gas in your RV's tank so you don't need to pack up all your stuff just to drive somewhere specific to fill your propane tank.

You simply connect the T-fitting and then connect the fill hose and turn on the external tank. It is that easy. I've attached a photo to assist.

If you have a Type 1 Connection instead, then you can use the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay T-Fitting w/ Hose for Type 1 Valve - 1/4" FIF and Disposable Cylinder # 103614-MBS instead. I've attached a photo of this to help as well.
