Question:

2013 Jeep JKU AEV Bumper Hi-I am looking at your Blue Ox Base plate BX1133. I already have a Roadmaster 5000 Stowmaster tow bar. Are there adapters I can purchase to make them work together? Thanks

The Roadmaster Stowmaster Tow Bar # RM-501 is not compatible with any of the Blue Ox or Demco baseplates. That tow bar is only compatible with the Roadmaster EZ, EZ2, EZ4 and XL baseplates.

Because your 2013 Jeep JKU has the American Expedition Vehicles Bumper, the only fit is the Blue Ox # BX1133. This will mean changing to the Blue Ox Acclaim Tow Bar - A-Frame - Car Mount - 5,000 lbs # BX4330 for the similar design or upgrading to a receiver mounted tow bar like the Blue Ox Alpha # BX7380 which is my recommendation.

Then I recommend the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267 which will utilize your vehicle wiring and yet protect it.

For your supplemental braking system I recommend the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System - Proportional # SM99251. This will only require adjustment at installation and then becomes a simple plug and play system. You will need the Roadmaster # RM-88400 relay to prevent the towed vehicle's brake signal from overriding the turn signal from the RV when applying the brakes during a turn.

The final thing you need for your flat tow system is a high-low adapter or the correct ball mount depending on your tow bar choice. I've attached an article and linked a page to all your options to make choosing the correct fit easy.
