How to Install Stay-IN-Play DUO in New Jeep

Question:
Please explain : controller label facing passenger side???? If installing the main control box under the seat do the long lines affect vacuum? What is the actual size/measurements of the main control box?. I have a new Jeep and there is about 0 space under the hood. Thanks

Expert Reply:
I spoke with my contact at SMI and he advised not to install the Stay-IN-Play DUO # SM99251, which you referenced, under the seat but to install it on the toe kick per the installation instructions. He said it will not work if placed under the seat because the unit needs to be mounted level as it is working off inertia.
The operating unit measures 8" long x 6-1/4" x 2-1/2" tall. (See photo.)
He said the units have been fitted in all new Jeep models and that they will fit, you will just have to get a little dirty and find a place.
