Will Motion Sensor Still Function on 2018 Nissan Rogue with Trailer Hitch Installed

Question:

Will the motion sensor rear gate still operate with a class 2 hitch installed? Any chance of the gate opening by itself?

For your 2018 Nissan Rogue I recommend the Draw-Tite Class II Frame Receiver Hitch # 36542. This Class II hitch is confirmed to fit your vehicle and will use existing holes in its frame for a no-drill installation. The motion sensor on the rear gate will still work with the hitch installed. The only difference will be that you will likely have to move your foot to either side of the hitch receiver for the sensor to pick up your movement. The hitch will not cause the gate to open up by itself.
