Question:
Please recommend easy on /easy off cargo carrier for 2017 Subaru Forester. Want to use it to haul four filled- 5 gal gas cans, up to 12 bags of mulch and/or garden soil at a time, and garbage from my summer home. Need to be able to take it on and off easily when the jobs are done. I am a woman and need something light enough to handle. Is there such a thing on the market?

We do have a few options for you to choose from. I recommend going with an aluminum carrier because they are much lighter than a steel cargo carrier.
The Curt # C18100 is a 19x60 carrier that weighs in at 29 lbs and has inside dimensions of 60" long x 19-1/8" wide x 2-3/4" tall. This carrier also has a folding feature for extra rear clearance when you aren't carrying anything. A hitch pin and clip like part # PC3 are sold separately.
This carrier has a 500 lb weight limit and installs in a 2" trailer hitch like part # e98839 for your 2017 Subaru Forester. If you would like to add an anti-rattle and locking pin to any of them I recommend the Let's Go aero # 63232.
