Updated 08/07/2018 | Published 08/06/2018 >
Question:
My axle on my boat trailer has failed, and I need to order a new one. Can you assist me in picking one out? The boat is a 2004 18ft Tracker Avalanche. Trailer is single axle.

In order to pick out a replacement axle for your Tracker Marine boat trailer, you will want note its capacity and take a couple measurements on the axle itself. First measure from the base of one wheel stud to the base of the wheel stud on the opposite side of the axle. This refers to the Hub Face measurement. Then measure from the center of the spring seat on one side of the axle to the center of the spring seat on the other side. This will give you the Spring Center dimension.
You will need to pick out an axle that features a matching weight capacity and matching measurements to those that you take on your existing axle.
As an example, the Dexter Trailer Axle Beam # T3584F-EZ-8974 that you were looking at features a 3,500 pound capacity, an 89 inch hub face length, and a 74 inch spring center length. I have attached an image to clarify this.
If you can tell me the above measurements for your axle, I will be happy to see if we have a replacement unit that will work well. I have also attached a link that will take you directly to our available selection of axles that you can look through.
