Yes, the Demco 5th Wheel Base Rails Adapter part # DM6140 will fit the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch part # BWGNRK1111 on your 2015 Ford F-250. There is no drilling required to install this adapter. All you need to do is release the handle for the hitch ball and drop the adapter into the gooseneck hitch ball opening.

The overall dimensions of the adapter plate are 36" long (side to side) x 28" wide (front to back). I have attached a review video of the adapter for you as well as a photo.

Since I have moved my fuel tank forward, and now have 14 inches from the center of the ball , will the C5GX1216 now work on my F250?

The Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter part # CAB-C5GX1216 will physically fit onto the hitch ball in the bed of your 2015 Ford F-250 but in order to make sure that you have clearance for turning between the cab of your truck and loft of your trailer, you will need to do a bit of measuring. I have attached the clearance formula for you. Since the above adapter is offset and adds an additional 7-1/2" you will want to measure from the pin box to the center of the opening on the coupler of the adapter which is letter B in the attached formula.

In order to tow a 5th wheel trailer with a short bed truck, you need to move the pivot point further away from the cab of the vehicle. The reason for this is that the loft on most 5th wheel trailers will come into contact with the cab on a short bed truck while making a sharp turn because the pivot point is too far forward. I am sure that is not unbeknownst to you but what most do not understand is the amount of clearance needed and how it will vary for each truck/trailer. The recommendation was to use the clearance formula (see below) in order to see if the Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter part # CAB-C5GX1216 would provide enough clearance on your particular truck and trailer. However, my experience has lead me to believe that the 7-1/2" of additional turning clearance that the Convert-A-Ball provides is not sufficient to allow a short bed truck to make a sharp turn with a 5th wheel trailer. The usual requirement is something around 20"+. I urge you to measure this for yourself as each application is different.
