Hey Al. The Furrion Chill Cube RV Air Conditioner item # LC54DX does indeed have the new variable speed compressor. This 18k btu unit is designed for ductless setups. Since it has the new R32 refrigerant you will also need a R32 compatible air distribution box as one is not included. You will want the Ductless Air Distribution Box for Furrion Chill Cube RV Air Conditioners item # LC44DX. It comes with everything you need to complete the installation and includes a wireless remote.
The Furrion Chill Cube RV Air Conditioner w Air Distribution Box item # FR59TD includes both of these parts available as a complete kit.
